Pomegranate Cosmoplitan

Try pomegranate juice the next time you're making a cosmopolitan at home. It gives the cocktail a nice autumn hue like the falling leaves of the season. The real mvp here, however, are the mini liquor bottles which make it easy to measure. They're less wasteful than keeping around large bottles of vodka and cointreau.

What you'll need:

• Scoop of ice

• Cocktail shaker

• Shot glass for measuring (optional; equal to approx 1.5 ounces)

• 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice

• 1 1/2 ounces vodka

• 3/4 ounce Cointreau

• 1/2 ounce pomegranate juice juice (I'm using the concentrated kind in a bottle)

Slice the lime into wedges

Add ice to your shaker

Pour in the liquids:

• Lime juice

• Vodka

• Cointreau

• Pomegranate juice

Seal, shake, and pour into your martini glass
